Events and celebrations occur throughout the year here in Los Cabos. Some activities include:
Mid-October through Mid-April
Whale Migration. Of the 11 species of whales found around the world, eight species come to the Los Cabos area. Enjoy a whale-watching expedition to see these beautiful animals up close.
February
Regattas in the winter months take full advantage of the breezes, clear skies and calm waters in the area.
March
Festival of San José. In nearby San José del Cabo, this annual festival extends over several days, blending carnivals, parades and food into a celebration of the town’s patron saint.
April
At the end of the month, the Día de los Niños (Children’s Day) is a celebration for the area’s kids.
May
Fishing tournament. The Rolex/International Game Fish Association Offshore Championship attracts fishing competitors from around the world.
June
Golf and fishing tournaments abound this month.
Summer
Los Cabos Summer Dive Fiesta. This annual event is filled with diving events and evening activities that are ideal for both novice and seasoned diver.
September
Mid-September is Mexican Independence Day, a time filled with fireworks, folk dancing, music and celebration.
October
Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament. This annual fishing competition draws people from around the world to compete for its large cash prizes.
November
The Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 is an annual desert racing event that covers the length of the Baja Peninsula.
December
Jazz Festival. For three days in December, the area comes alive at venues in the town and at the beach.
